Visit to the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging in Boston
As part of a trip to the IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium in Boston, a delegation from the Chair of Integrated Electronic Systems (IES) visited the MGH/HST Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging.
Supported by Massachusetts General Hospital, the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences & Technology (HST) program, and MIT, the center is one of the world's leading facilities for biomedical imaging.
The group was given a detailed tour of the laboratories and gained firsthand insight into the on-site research infrastructure, including specialized coils and systems for ultra-high-field MRI. Subsequently, discussions were held regarding potential collaborations that would build upon the IES's ongoing work within the ERDF project UIC4UHFMRI. This project aims to develop integrated RF circuit concepts for 14-Tesla MRI imaging.
